On November 10, 2025, the world will mark 50 years since the loss of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I am writer and narrator of a new five-episode limited podcast from the Duluth News Tribune, exploring the ship’s history from launch to loss to legacy.
Based on a year of research and reporting, this podcast features interviews with numerous experts as well as with the TV anchor who broke the news of the sinking, with a man who served on a Coast Guard cutter that responded to the ship’s loss, and with a diver who once touched the wreck.
