From February 2016 until the paper’s closure in 2020 I wrote about theater for City Pages — the Twin Cities’ alt weekly. Find my coverage in the City Pages arts section. (Above: De Hjerteløse at the 2017 Minnesota Fringe Festival.)
I was happy to have this opportunity to continue my work in Twin Cities theater coverage, which began in September 2007 when I walked into the basement of a casket-factory-turned-art-space to review Skewed Visions’ Strange Love for the Twin Cities Daily Planet — where I subsequently became arts editor and wrote about theater (among many other things) until I left that position six years later.
My writing on theater has also appeared in local publications including Twin Cities METRO (R.I.P.), Vita.mn (this is starting to look like a trend), Mpls.St.Paul (whew), and Delta Sky Magazine (double whew). From 2013 through early 2016, most of my theater coverage appeared in The Tangential.
